NATCA PBN CO-LEAD EAST
Recently in East, we worked on the PXT VOR MON STARS, NEC ACR project, BOS
Massport Block 1 Study and TDG/LDK/EWA/HAB VOR MON activities. There has also
been a lot of time spent projecting our schedule and work for FY19.
The work on the PXT STARs is almost complete but we still need to finish the criteria
waivers required for the STARs within PHL ATCT. We have sent the draft waivers to PHL
ATCT for their review and after this work is completed, we will get everything turned in
for the 10/10/19 publication date.
We have been in constant communication with ZDC, ZBW and ZNY on the NEC ACR
work. There have been monthly telcons with all the facilities and they have received
their design packages and green book routes for review. We met with ZBW on 9/5-6 to
discuss what they will need for implementation and our expectations. There was a
facility meeting for ZNY on 9/11-13. A full Work Group meeting involving ZBW, ZNY,
ZDC, ZJX and Industry is scheduled for 10/9-11. Everything is still on track for our Jan
2020 publication.
The next BOS Massport Block 1 meeting is scheduled for 10/2-4 at ZBW. Many of the
recommendations aren't feasible, but a few recommendations look very promising to
the Boston facilities and Massport. We will out-brief Massport and the RA's office on
10/4 at the conclusion of the ZBW meeting.
The TDG/LDK/EWA/HAB VOR Telcon occurred on 8/22; ZME, ZTL, BHM, MGM and
Industry participated on this call. A few IOUs resulted from this telcon, and once all the
IOUs are complete, the T-Routes will be submitted for an August 2019 publication.
