LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT
WEBSCHEDULER MIGRATION UPDATE
On Sept. 19, the Agency undertook the tasking of migrating WebScheduler (also known as WMT
Scheduler or WMT) from Lotus Notes/Domino Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to
MyAccess authentication. However, the Agency encountered unforeseen issues during the
migration, resulting in many users being unable to access WMT. For example, after initial
migration and testing, there were reports from several sources that a subset of users received
"403 Forbidden" or "Request Timeout" when trying to login. The source of the problem was
difficult to identify.
The Agency and the software developer worked on potential solutions to this and other issues
that arose during the day. Ultimately, the solutions were not successful, and as a result, the
Agency reverted WMT back to LDAP for authentication.
The Agency and the software developer continue to work together to identify and correct the
issues that occurred during the migration on Sept. 19. NATCA will continue to collaborate with
the Agency on testing to ensure that all fixes are complete prior to initiating another migration.
There is currently no estimated timeline on a completion of the fix, so employees should
continue using their LDAP credentials to login to WMT until further notice.
