• ER 184496 ABRR/PDRR Restricted Airspace – The intent is to limit the overwriting of "safety related" AERT when an ABRR/PDRR route is input for a flight. • ER 189735 E83509 STAR Alarms with SAA – The AIMS issue was discussed; the change will improve the algorithm that calculates the area surrounding buffered SAA's. The current calculations are not consistent, and buffers range from 2.8 to 3.3 miles. The AOT and user team have ranked this ER a high priority. • AIMS 195676 Plans Display Timer – The timer range is from 0 to 60 seconds and sites set the timer through local adaptation. All sites should review this timer and its behavior to ensure that it is correct for site needs. • ER 175519 Outage View Brightness Control – EAD601 changed the brightness controls for the Outage View and Sector Status View. The brightness is controlled through the new brightness setting. The range for the "PR TGT" setting is 0 to 100. When the setting is set at 0, outages are not viewable. The goal is to set a limit so that the outages are always viewable. • ER 195554 AHI and Point Outs – The desired behavior is to add system functionality that will insert an Auto Handoff Inhibit (AHI) for an aircraft from the initiating sector to the receiving sector after the receiving sector has approved an automated point out. NAS VOICE SWITCH (NVS) Jon Shedden (ZFW) is the Article 114 Representative to the NVS project. His report is below: Next Generation Air-Ground Communication (NEXCOM) continues deployment of new CM300/350 V2 radios to terminal facilities across the country. Some terminal facilities using very old radios hear a pop back or "squelch tail" when they release their transmitters. The new radios being deployed under NEXCOM Segment 2 do not have this "feature" as the squelch tail is generally regarded as undesirable in radio communications. This issue has cropped up twice now during deployment and the program office should brief future affected facilities prior to install. The NEXCOM program office has kicked off the Emergency Transceiver Replacement. This program is looking to replace aging tunable transceivers at DEN, HNL, PCT, PHX, SCT, and SLC. They also looking to replace approximately 2,000 of the grab-and-go style emergency transceivers (e.g. PET-2000). NAS Voice Recorder Program (NVRP) is the replacement for existing NAS voice recorders (DALR, DALR2, DVRS, DVR2). The Program Office presented to the JRC and received approval to proceed to Final Investment Analysis, leading up to the Final Investment Decision. Grand Rapids Tower/TRACON (GRR) is reporting multiple issues with their aging switch. There's an outstanding issue with a RADAR site causing interference in the Tower Cab. Tech Ops
