NATCA NATIONAL OFFICE DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE November 25-December 8, 2018 LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT VLTP – PAID PARENTAL LEAVE MOU EFFECTIVE DEC. 1, 2018 As a reminder, the MOU expanding the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP) for bargaining unit employees covered by the 2016 Slate Book CBA went into effect on Dec. 1, 2018. The MOU permits eligible employees who are utilizing the provisions of Article 26, Section 5 of the CBA to participate in the VLTP for the following reasons: birth of a son or daughter and care of the newborn, or the placement of a son or daughter with an employee for adoption or foster care. As stated in the MOU, it does not reduce the entitlements of the negotiated VLTP process described in Article 90 but is meant to be read in conjunction with it. Notwithstanding the MOU, NATCA will continue discussions with the Agency at the national level to find a way forward to achieve a paid parental leave program. WEBSCHEDULER MIGRATION COMPLETE On Nov. 15, 2018, the Agency successfully migrated WebScheduler (also known as WMT Scheduler or WMT) from Lotus Notes/Domino Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to MyAccess authentication. In order to login to WebScheduler, BUEs must now use either: a PIV Card and PIV Card PIN; or an FAA email address (as their username), as well as their MyAccess PIN and the correct answer to one of their established MyAccess Security Questions. If you experience any issues logging in to WebScheduler, please contact Jason Doss at jdoss@natca.net. POCs: WebScheduler National Representative Jason Doss, Chief of Staff Dean Iacopelli, Director of Labor Relations Ryan Smith, and Labor Relations Attorney Grant Mulkey. BRIEFING REQUESTS On Nov. 30, 2018, NATCA requested a briefing on AFN AIT Reorganization (OCR #2018-0059), which will create, delete, and rename various organizations within ADO, APS, ASP, ADE, and AEM.
