one (FAAst12309 - Resource Verification does not detect SSS External Disk Pack Failure) will be watch-listed as this may become OBE with an SSM. • A brief overview of the ranking process was given for the benefit of TSAS stakeholders. We reviewed the unranked TSAS PTRs. Some have been identified as TSAS IOC critical and ranked. System Technical Reports Working Group (STRWG) – Stakeholders are reviewing proposed software modifications to STARS. Plot and playback files usable in FUSED mode, command rules processor to enter flight plans and filters should be allowed to drop and freeze tracks. Safety Risk Management Panel (SRM) – We participated on a two-day SRM telcon where stakeholders reviewed changes to the S6R8/S6R9 software to see if any impact from these changes could affect the NAS. TERMINAL FLIGHT DATA MANAGER (TFDM) Matt Baugh (IAH) is the TFDM Article 114 Rep. His report is below: We still have not finalized a new schedule moving forward with Leidos, the prime contractor. We have had multiple discussions over the last month and have most of the major details worked out for Build 1. However, quite a few of the details are still outstanding for Build 2 and those discussions continue. Build 1 Initial Operating Capability (IOC) in PHX will likely move from November 2019 to either April or May 2020, with Build 2 IOC in CLT following sometime in the second quarter of 2021. Pre-Site Surveys (PSS) were completed earlier in March for both CLE and IWA with members of NATCA and the Program Office in attendance. These PSSs serve as a high-level brief to the facilities as to what TFDM will mean for them in terms of capabilities, where our timelines are and when we expect to be there, as well as a chance for our training team to begin the site training discussion. Since each site's timeline will vary, it's important for us to get ahead of their scheduling so that they are prepared for the resource hit when we begin. A few major milestones coming in the next months are the Course Walk Through (CWT), which is the first of three steps to validate training, in April. This event will be followed up by National Cadre Training at the Tech Center, sometime in June. The training will prep the larger team for eventual national training as well as provide a larger pool for us to draw from for Official Build 1 Operational Testing (OT) to occur in late July and into August. With an 89-site deployment scheduled over 8-10 years, resources have always been at the forefront of our risks. On-ramping time, turnover, facility staffing, and having to be at multiple sites concurrently will all be weekly difficulties with regards to our deployment schedule and the success of training the controllers at each site. Advanced Electronic Flight Strips (AEFS) – Build 5.6 shakedown testing was completed in March with final suitability testing to occur the first week in April at the Tech Center. This testing, like in previous builds, will have representatives from PHX, CLE, and CLT NATCA, as well as TFDM NATCA. They will be on-site at the Tech Center to assess the performance of the build and will then decide to deploy to the field or not. • CLT – Once the 5.6 build has been given a suitability call, it will be installed, tested and turned on in late April. • PHX – Coordination is ongoing for the training and eventual live use of the 5.4 build.
