We have internally finalized a new waterfall and are in the process of getting it approved within FAA headquarters. Once that is finished, the waterfall will be available on the FAA TFDM website. Due to the shutdown, most dates slipped anywhere between two and six months. Some of the team traveled to RDU in late March for their pre site survey. We were able to meet with the FacRep and one of the local team members and management to discuss RDUs training and implementation plan. These visits allow the site to start early planning for TFDM, as well as gives our team a head start on planning our resources to support training and implementation. The training team met at the Tech Center the last week in March and worked on finalizing the three Quick Reference Guides (QRGs). During the process, they noticed the need to split those three QRGs into an additional two. These guides, once completed and TFDM has gone operational, will help controllers perform those tasks that are less often used without having to go through the entire training workbook. Representatives from the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Air Force came to Washington, D.C. the first week of April for a two-day TFDM demo/meeting. The intent of the meeting was for each branch to assess the progress of TFDM and to gain additional information of its capabilities and limitations. Their ultimate goal was to determine if they would like to have TFDM in the nearly 100 combined military towers and TRACONs. Advanced Electronic Flight Strips (AEFS) Build 5.6 suitability testing was completed during the first week in April at the Tech Center. For this test, NATCA members from PHX, CLE, CLT, and EWR were present to test the builds new functions and ensure that it meets our standards. NATCA and AJV-7 (HQ Requirements) agreed that the system passed, and AJV-7 made the official suitability call allowing the team to move forward with installing and training the new build in CLT, PHX, and CLE. • CLT - 5.6 is to be installed in mid-April and CLT will be trained on the new functions. Site testing will be held the last week in April, leading into May. If it passes those tests, CLT will then decide to leave 5.6 on operationally. • PHX - 5.4 has been trained and is being used operationally. Once 5.6 is operational in CLT, plans will continue to get PHX uploaded with the new build. • CLE - Once 5.6 is operational in CLT, plans will continue to get PHX uploaded with the new build. • LAS - There is nothing new to report. SWIM Visualization Tool (SVT) There is nothing new to report.
