the equipment. TSLE is also taking a look at the equipment room to ensure grounding for the TCW shells is correct. Reports from controllers indicate static discharge within the TRACON is due to low humidity. April 11 was the final deployment and implementation meeting to iron out waterfall transition dates due to the government shutdown. Some dates moved into 2020 but the NextGen 2020 mandate will be met. I am working with David Baker (NATCA ORF) concerning the reconfiguration of the Norfolk TRACON during the transition scheduled for later this year. Engineering Services has committed to ensuring the work is completed, but some issues with local Tech Ops have come to light. I am coordinating with ARVP Kevin Maney, the TAMR PASS Rep, and the TAMR PO to overcome any obstacles. Chicago (C90) had all the main display monitors (MDM) within the TRACON replaced with the updated MDM4. Installation was done on a midshift and no issues were reported. ABQ had a processor fail at the most inopportune time, during an adaptation load during the day. This issue has not been reported anywhere else in the NAS. Local Tech Ops have been instructed that all maintenance which impacts the backup system shall be done on the midshift. Additionally, I traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with AJM-2 and NATCA National. The future of terminal automation sustainment after the deployment of STARS is still in the negotiation stage. TAMR NATCA Training submitted by Ross Costa (RSW) I travelled to CLE for their TAMR Training Briefing, discussed the 804 transition plan for Mansfield (MFD) and Akron (CAK), and proposed several training plans for all three sites. We followed this up with a telcon to solidify the training plan. I have also been collaborating on post-shutdown activities with both HTS and CKB. We have had weekly calls to re-plan and solidify IOC dates. Both facilities are on a path for IOC in April. TAMR Software/Hardware submitted by Kyle Ness (M98) Operational Testing and Evaluation (OT&E) - S6.R9 Drop 2 testing is in progress at the Technical Center in Atlantic City, N.J. NATCA SMEs from NCT, A80, TLH, SCT, P50, D01, ABE, and A90 took time away from their facilities and home life to test software. R9 is one of the largest software builds to date with over 60 fixes and improvements so it is imperative that air traffic SMEs are finding problems and ensuring the software
