▪ In addition to CAE, several facilities, specifically ATCTs, have suffered HVAC failures resulting in high temps outside the permissible range in the IAQ PIR. I have concerns this will result in heating issues this winter and have advised the FacReps on our regional telcons to notify me ASAP if they have an HVAC issue. I'm tracking these and should a single facility continue to have multiple events, I will be elevating the issues to regional counterparts. o MEM Tower suffered a pipe burst on Sept. 29. The water was shut off, and facility TO was working to dry materials, but it was not confirmed if this was done in time, and the district SECM should be doing a mold evaluation. No update on this evaluation yet. o ZJX has been undergoing a kitchen remodel and suffered water intrusion issues. The leak area has been found and mitigations are underway. Porous materials were identified, and a mold evaluation was requested of the district SECM. Updates to follow on this issue. • New England Region OSHA Rep Matt Murray - No new issues reported. • Alaska Region OSHA Rep Larry Trottini - No new issues reported. • Central Region OSHA Rep Dan Sherritt - No new issues reported. • Region X OSHA Rep David Kirkwood - o Reviewed 1053.1 for upcoming briefing. o UCR Training Issue paper for National OSHECCOM. o Establishment OSHECCOM Workgroup kick off telcon and date/location for meeting. o Reviewed the mold/water intrusion question list. o Sat in on Eastern Regional OSHECCOM - Need new NATCA Region X rep for the Eastern Region OSHECCOM to replace Dominic Petrelli. o Sent out the 3900.57A forms to team. WEATHER Eric Avila (ZHU) is NATCA's Article 114 Rep for Weather. His report is below: NextGen Weather Processor/Aviation Weather Display (AWD) The human factors work group assisted Raytheon in working on the final stage of completing the work on the National Weather Service (NWS) products that will be incorporated into the AWD. The group provided Raytheon with numerous mockups and designs to ensure the weather products will be user-friendly. Numerous products will be much easier to read compared to those that currently exist. The current build ended with most of the NWS products completed and the remainder of the work will be completed over the next month. On Oct. 7-10, a Candidate Release Test was held at Raytheon to demonstrate and sell off 265 requirements on the AWD. The test event was very successful with 261 requirements successfully passing.
