SBA Oceanic Development - The ATOP and SBA Programs along with various stake holders and SMEs met in Washington, D.C., in January to scope projects and concepts utilizing Space-based ADS-B in the oceanic environment. A scope of the work required, and action items are being formulated from the results of the meeting. Scoping was scheduled to be complete by Jan. 31. Top ATOP Issues being Worked (no change from previous update) - • 56196: Enhanced Trial Probe for OOC Position Reports (CHI demonstration). • 50981: Need a way to enter CPDLC reported PIREPs. • 52339: Auto Populate Airspace Reservation with SIGMET Info. • 51586: Weather Deviation Follow Up to 51050. • Air Traffic Failure Mode Enhancements. • Enhanced Conflict Probe for Surveillance Airspace. Other Issues - 58212 Immediate conflict displayed after CDP clearance • Issue marked Critical by ZOA in September 2019. o Priority lowered to Patch, with agreement (Sept. 26, 2019). • FDN has subsequently been worked and approved. o Problem: non-CDP clearances can be issued via the CDP window. o Solution: don't allow non-CDP clearances when CDP is ineligible. o Improved feedback via the new message "CDP Ineligible". o The "CDP-Cancel" button will no longer be colored according to the returned conflict result (green/red). It will be colored grey, matching the appearance of the "reset" and "close" buttons. The "send" button will be greyed out and cannot be selected. 58213 Enhancement ADS-C Simulation functionality • Issue split out from OOC Trial Probe (56196). o Targeted T29 PKG (Oct. 1, 2019), may need to be re-assessed. • Due to concerns over 56196 cost and schedule, this change will aid in the evaluation and training of functionality related to deviating aircraft. o Extend the current pseudo-pilot intercept capability to provide the ability to edit all incoming simulated ADS-C position and event messages. o In order to simulate the situations where the flight plan entered into an aircraft's Flight Management System (FMS), and does not match the profile that ATOP has stored, provide the capability to specify a FMS route which simulated ADS-C position reports will use to generate Next/Next+1 fixes. 55225 ATOP Coordination Inhibit Function • Issue added to ZAN Top 25 (2) March 2019. • New functionality change request.
