Betz, and ZID National SME Jim Larson for their all their hard work and dedication to deploying DataComm in their facilities. ENTERPRISE-INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM (E-IDS) Amanda Richardson (ZOA) is the Article 114 Rep for Enterprise-Information Display System (E-IDS) work. Background: The Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) project aims to replace all existing IDSs in the NAS, providing the Agency with one enterprise solution across facility types. While some customization is necessary and should be available, one system will reduce overall costs for upkeep and training and resolve the upcoming end- of-life issues we have with our current IDSs in the field (IDS-4, ERIDS, etc.). Current domains without an IDS will also be addressed (Oceanic, Alaska FSS, etc.). The project is working through the vendor bid process, with a contract scheduled to be awarded in 2020. Final Investment Decision (FID) is expected late spring/early summer 2020. Three Phases of Implementation are planned, beginning in 2023 and ending in 2030. The Safety Panel for E-IDS was conducted in November 2019 and the program is on track for a final safety document to be published in early February. The program is also on track for FID in early June of this year, followed by contract award shortly after. E- IDS Team Members at HQ are currently working through the Acquisitions process to determine which vendor is awarded the E-IDS contract. Due to the sensitive nature of this phase of the project, very limited updates are available for dissemination. The SME workgroup meetings continued on Jan. 16 and Jan. 30. Various topics of discussion included Data Administrator work, functionality expectations, and an Implementation briefing. The team also continued work on internal NATCA Use Cases, focusing on Airport Information. The Use Case work helps lay the foundation for future development work with the vendor and future test plans (both developmental and operational). NATCA will be working with the Implementation Team to coordinate with the Phase 1 keysites and plan for Training and Implementation SME activities. Upcoming activities: • Weekly / bi-weekly Program Status and Systems Engineering telcons (ongoing). • E-IDS Working Group meetings (ongoing, formerly HF, ITT sessions). • Bi-weekly Risk Board telcons (ongoing). • Weekly check-in with Program Manager (ongoing). • E-IDS Weather Working Group telcons (monthly). • E-IDS Requirements telcons (monthly). • NATCA Safety and Technology department telcons (monthly). • Meetings with other programs to discuss potential overlaps and impacts are occurring as needed. INTEGRATED DISPLAY SYSTEM REPLACEMENT (IDS-R)
