Senate Commerce has jurisdiction over aviation and is responsible for drafting the legislation
that reauthorizes FAA programs. The subcommittee lays the groundwork for FAA reauthoriza-
tion by working with the aviation industry and stakeholders to analyze the best ways to modern-
ize the NAS.
