3 It is an honor and privilege to welcome you to the 20th annual Archie League Medal of Safety and eighth annual Region X Commitment to Safety Awards Banquet. We come together every year to recognize and celebrate the achievements by NATCA members who have excelled in their eld. Every one of the members recognized tonight have performed their job to the highest standards that we, as air safety professionals, strive to attain each day. at is how we ensure the safety of the National Airspace System. Safety is our culture. It is the foundation of everything we do. It is the rst and last thing we consider every day we are on the job. We study, and we train until we react instinctively to any unexpected situation that may arise. e award recipients tonight responded to di cult situations with the exceptional skill that has become the hallmark of our profession. Tonight's winners of the Archie League Medal of Safety and the Region X Commitment to Safety Award exemplify our commitment to safety. e Archie League and Region X Commitment to Safety awards honor the absolute best examples of the core functions of the professions that NATCA represents. ese 2024 Archie League Medal of Safety Award winners demonstrate the unique skills, mindset, training, and experience of our Union's members to positively in uence the events under our control. Congratulations to every award winner and all the others that were nominated by your peers. You should be proud of your accomplishments.
