*Top-line funding numbers have not changed significantly since the end of FY 2024. However, last year, Congress passed the FAA
Reauthorization Act of 2024, which mandates maximum hiring of air traffic controller trainees for the five-year duration of the act. As a result,
both Appropriations Committees included an "anomaly" in the current CR to ensure that FAA can meet its hiring target for FY 2025 – meaning
that Congress granted the FAA the power to access additional funds above and beyond the CR amounts to meet its increased hiring needs.
