EWR, the airport with the longest runway.
Rizvi continued providing weather information
and the pertinent instrument landing system
(ILS) frequency. JRE845 landed safely at
Newark Liberty International Airport.
This successful outcome was especially
notable because — although Rizvi is a veteran
controller — this was his first session working
the Newark departure sector after certifying
on the position.
