Bolton, Jr. He is responsible for leading airspace modernization efforts. He joined the FAA in 2013 with more than three decades of experience in aviation and security. Bolton has a varied and in-depth understanding of aviation systems, systems management, and national security. Today he will deliver his keynote address, "NextGen Is Now," focusing on key collaborations and successes of NextGen projects. Since Bolton took the reins in 2013, several high profile projects have been implemented throughout the NAS, including OAPM Metroplex, ERAM, ADS-B, and Wake Recategorization. Through close work and testing with NATCA members, each of these huge implementation projects has been a successful example of FAA/NATCA collaboration on NextGen projects. The safety and efficiency of the NAS is improved with each NextGen implementation, and depends on our continued collaboration. Today we are at a significant point with NextGen, and we are experiencing the benefits of many long awaited projects. Join us today as we welcome Bolton to CFS to see just how far we've come with NextGen, and where we're going next. KEYNOTE ADDRESS Edward L. Bolton, Jr., FAA Assistant Administrator for NextGen Rio Pavilion Ballroom • 3:25 p.m. Dr. James Fallon: In an exciting preliminary round of Air Traffic Feud, Viva la Vectors (left) dominated the board and pulled out a 438-252 victory over the Velociraiders (right). How Does Your Personality Determine Your Productivity? Air Traffic Feud: Round 1 "There is this myth that controllers are depressed, have a high suicide rate, a high heart attack rate, but that's not true. You're not even in the top 10. You guys love what you do. It's just everyone else who gets stressed out watching you."
