U.S. SENATE COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE, SCIENCE, AND TRANSPORTATION (COMMERCE) WHY IS THIS COMMITTEE IMPORTANT TO NATCA? Senate Commerce has jurisdiction over aviation and is responsible for drafting the legislation that reauthorizes FAA programs. The committee is working on a new FAA Reauthorization bill, as the current authorization expires at the end of September 2015.
