LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (JYO) 17 NextGen Now | Summer 2015 in other countries. Germany has a robust test going on, and Searidge already has some camera technology in use at various American airports such as Oakland International Airport. Saab Sensis has also tested its system in Australia. Working with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) NextGen and Requirements offices, controllers are providing input into safety and technical concerns of both the FAA and users. The camera tower is located on the terminal building at the airport, and the remote tower displays are in the airport's conference room. NATCA looks forward to continued participation in the upcoming research, testing, and demonstration of the RTS system at JYO. Through collaboration with both the FAA and industry, our nation's air traffic controllers will have a great opportunity to validate the benefits and technology of the RTS system.
