Order 1800.67 directs the use of FAA Form 1800 - 2, NAS Change Proposal, in conjunction with signed SMS compliant safety documentation, as defined in the SMS 4.0, to support decisions regarding changes to operational NAS systems, equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. The Order requires originators to open a Casefile/NCP t o reference one of the followin g in Block 22f of the Casefile: (1) a projected SRM document completion date or a tracking number from an FAA enterprise - level safety risk management database, or (2) a SRM exception clause. A signed SMS compliant safety docu mentation is attached to the Casefile/NCP package when safety documentation is required for the NCP. The Order also addresses requirements by the Configuration Management (CM) Control Desk, Configuration Control Board (CCB), and Safety Must Evaluators from the NextGen Safety representatives when reviewing the NCP process. This Order becomes effective and implemented for NATCA BUEs on September 16, 2015. NATCA POCs: Director of Safety and Tech Dale Wright, National Safety Committee Chairman Steve Hansen , an d Labor Relations Representative Melinda Kim. FAA ORDER 6000.55C – NATIONAL FACILITY DRAWING LIBRARY PROCEDURES On September 3, 2015, NATCA received a briefing on the Agency Order 6000.55C concerning National Facili ty Drawing Library Procedures. This Ord er establishes that the National Computer Aided Engineering Graphics (CAEG) Program has the responsibility for establishing and maintaining the FAA CAEG Facility Library for all National Airspace System (NAS) National Standard, Project and Facility Drawing s. The Order provides further instructions on how to locate guidance and procedures on how drawings are to be prepared, submitted, and retrieved throug h the Facility Drawing Library. These activities include the processing and cataloging of the data and pr oviding for its secure storage and access. The main change that is noteworthy to the updated Order is the process of evaluating NAS facility drawings that are deemed security sensitive. Drawings will be evaluated for one of three specific designations: (1) Sensitive Secure Information (SSI), (2) For Official Use Only (FOUO), or (3) u nclassified with no markings. To accomplish this, the FAA looks to "Protecting Sensitive Unclassified Construction Information" memorandum dated May 16, 2006, for further guidan ce for evaluating drawings for SSI or FO UO classification. This memo can be found at http://caeg.faa.gov . After the September 11th attack on the U.S., the FAA classified all NAS facility draw ings to be security sensitiv e. Through this Order, the FAA attempts to lift some restrictions by establishing a review process through the SSI or FOUO evaluation to determine the level of se curity for CAEG drawings. NATCA POCs: Don Schmeichel, Richard Popp, and Labor Relations Repres entative Melinda Kim. BRIEFINGS On September 14, 2015, NATCA requested a briefing on the implementation of eComp, which is a new filing system for the submission of on - the - job injury claims. We are currently waiting for a response from the Agency regardin g our request. NATCA POCs: Labor Relations Attorney Nicole Vitale and Labor Relations Coordinator Kendal Manson.
