Acting on a good suggestion by a FacRep last week, we took some of our favorite videos on our NATCA YouTube Channel and created a new playlist called "Career Day Material." Check it out and feel free to use it. As always, please let us know how we can improve our video channels. dchurch@natcadc.org GOT A POSITIVE STORY OF GREAT ATC WORK AT YOUR FACILITY? WE WANT TO HEAR IT! There was a negative local TV story in Houston that aired the other day, wh ich we will not share here. The story was unfair to the hard - working Houston controllers and all controllers who were painted in a negative light with this TV station's broad brush , in an attempt at sensationalism over a 2009 crash. The story also included some inaccuracies and misinformation as well. Meanwhile, so much great ATC work goes unreported by the media. It's our job here in the Communications Department to get good stories into the hands of the media but we need your help! If your facility is doi ng great work, let us know immediately so we can try and get it reported and also have it nominated for an Archie League Medal of Safety A ward! dchurch@natcadc.org ; smccan n@natcadc.org if you want to send us ideas for media stories. Use szilonis@natcadc.org for help in submitting an Archie League Medal of Safety Award nomination.
