a confirmation email that your registration was completed. A second email will be sent 2 - 3 weeks prior to the seminar giving you the logistical information for the seminar. Also included in this email will be instructions on how to obtain a benefits estima te at the seminar. Spouses and significant others are also invited to attend. Please ensure that you add them to the registration when asked if you will be bringing a guest. Please try to register three weeks prior to the seminar. Walk - ins are permitted to attend as long as they can provide their membership ID number. However, they will be unable to obtain a ben efits estimate at the seminar. NATCA is now offering an exciting new program, The NATCA Edge. The same great benefit you have come to expect at the onsite retirement seminars is now available from the comfort of your own home! The webinars are offered from 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. in several time zones to accommodate members nationwide. Visit the portal today to re gister. But don't wait! Only the first 50 registrants will be able to attend, and webinars are already starting to fill up! Upcoming dates in 2015 are Oct. 22, Nov. 10, Dec. 1, with an additional date next year, scheduled for Jan. 14, 2016. We are now o ffering Career Optimization and Retirement Education (C.O.R.E.) Seminars in many cities! These seminars are geared towards employees with 0 - 15 years of service who want to maximize their retirement benefits and plan for financial stability in retirement. SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT DEPARTMENT STAFF CHANGES: This week Jim Ullmann joined the Safety and Technology staff as the Deputy Director of Safety and Technology. Mr. Ullmann brings a wealth of knowledge in both the technical and labor work of NATCA. His email address is jullmann@nat cadc.org . AIRSPACE: Jim Davis (PCT) is the NATCA National Airspace Lead. Below are reports from Mr. Davis and various airspace project leads. · NorCal Metroplex o Participated in the Weekly National Metroplex Telcon (Wed); discussed potential shutdown / furlough impacts, provided team status update. o Conducted the Weekly NorCal Team Telcon (Wed): Discussed - speed assignments on OPDs and what information should be coordinated (action item for POCs to provide briefi ngs to ZOA and NCT for clarification); Oct 15 th Chart Date Amendments (briefings only at both facilities, minimal support to be provided by team personnel already
