aviation community to gather and discuss system procurement and deployment. · The FAA uses an unique Acquisition Management System (AMS) designed to account for the entire life - cycle of individual programs. The FAA contracts with vendors from many different companies to deliver equipment and services, many of which are procured through the AMS. o The contracts used in AMS have many different Requirements that specify what the expectation of the FAA is and clarifies for the vendor, what the measure of success will b e. o The Verification and Validation (V&V) community ensures that these individual requirements are clearly defined and are either met or exceeded. o NATCA has interacted with the V&V community on many diverse programs and projects and enjoyed the opportunity to share some lessons and perspectives gained through those interactions. NAS VOICE SYSTEM (NVS): Jon Shedden (ZFW) works the NVS project as their Article 48 Representative from NATCA.
