ATC REFORM – NATCA ON MAJOR AVIATION INDUSTRY PANEL : NATCA
President Paul Rinaldi spoke at the Airlines for America (A4A) Commercial Aviation
Industry Summit on Sept. 28 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Rinaldi
participated on the Air Traffic Control Reform panel, which explored th e need for
comprehensive reform of the National Airspace System (NAS) and stable, predictable
funding for it.

STAYIN G UP TO DATE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE FUNDING AND FAA
REAUTHORIZATION ISSUES : The latest news about last week's actions in Congress
to avert a government shutdown and extend current FAA authorization are detailed
above in the Government Affairs update. But we know these important issues will return
to the discuss ion in just a few short weeks. While the FAA authorization extension runs
through March 2016, the CR fund ing the government will expire in early December. A
shutdown threat could return.
The Communications Department will continue to engage in media activity where
appropriate on these topics and inform our members of important news and updates
through a varie ty of ways, as we did all last week in the buildup to a possible shutdown .
