(RVA), one of the three (3) major Federal Contract Tower program employers, met in Orlando, FL, to continue negotiations towards a new Collective Bargaining Agre ement (CBA). The last CBA between the p arties was negotiated in 2011. On July 1, 2015, RVA received a new contract with the FAA that is scheduled to run until December of 2020. POCs: Lead Negotiator Victor Santore, ARVP Ed Mears, MLB Facility Rep Ike Dye, Senior Labor Relations Attorney Chris Gant, and Labor Re lations Attorney Damien Maree. NATCA RECEIVES A BRIEFING ON MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 11 (IE11) On September 30, 2015, NATCA received a briefing on the FAA initiative to implementation M icrosoft I nternet Explorer 11 (IE11 ) from i ts current version 8 (IE8). Microsoft will cease to support the current Explorer version IE8 staring January 12, 2016, and continued use of IE8 after this date is a potential sec urity risk for the Agency. FAA will upgrade t he Internet Explorer to IE11. Early adaptation deployment is sche duled for November timeframe. FAA is currently testing all FAA supported application testing, remediation and compatibility status check points using IE1 1 test lab with FAA settings. NATCA an d FAA will work collaboratively in the application testing. NATCA RECEIVES A BRIEFING ON ECOMP AND LEAVE BUY BACK On October 5, 2015, the Agency briefed NATCA regarding two Office of Workers' Compensation Program initiatives, the implementation of eComp, and updates to the Agency's Leave Buy Back Program.
