News and Notes from the Public Affairs Shop Harrisburg (MDT): We worked last week to make final preparations for the collab orative FAA - NATCA press event on Oct. 20 to promote the successful installation of Terminal Automation and Modernization Replacement at MDT. NATCA FacRep Phil Gesumaria and Chris Falcone, who was instrumental in the project, are leading our local media eff orts and we helped them with talking points and also general media relations guidance. Our main message is that collaboration between labor and management on all levels of the project was the reason for a seamless transition from the old equipment to the n ew. Additionally, NATCA is proud of the professionalism and dedication of the controllers at this facility who not only learned the new system, but also did it while maintaining the highest levels of safety and efficiency. Below are the top two press clips of the event: ABC27 WHTM HARRISBURG, PA.
