LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT NATCA SETTLES AFFORDABILITY DIFFER ENT IAL GRIEVANCE (15 - ACK - 2) On or about Feb. 3, 2015, NATCA became aware that the Agency was not paying several bargainin g unit employees at Nantucket ATCT (ACK) the 10 percent affordability differential as required under the Nantucket Affordability Allowance LOA and filed a grievance on the violation. The grievance was approved for arbitration and a hearing date was sched uled. While preparing for the hearing, NATCA reached out to the A gency to settle the grievance. On October 23, 2015, the Parties executed a settlement agreement that included one - time lump sum payments to all of the affected BUEs for the full amoun ts owed to them under the LOA. Finally, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, NATCA confirmed that each of the BUEs was paid in full and, thus, canceled the hearing and withdrew the grievance.
