While this is certainly helpful for NATCA, this simply kicks the can down the road for two
years . If and when Congress passes an omnibus before the December 11 deadline, it
will be up to the executive branch to figure out what the implications are for each agency
and department. NATCA will continue to work with members of Congress and staff on
the is sue of sequestration. We continue to remind them of the affect sequestration had
on the aviation system and our members in 2013.
COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT
2016 NATCA WALL CALENDAR UPDATE: The NATCA wall calendar is at the printer.
Each facility will rec eive a shipment of calendars for their members after Thanksgiving.

NEW WEBSITE UPDATE : We continue working on constructing a new natca.org
website, complete with a new and improved members section and more ease of use with

STAYIN G UP TO DATE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE FUNDING AND FAA
REAUTHORIZATION ISSUES : The critically important issues of government funding
and Congressional actions and inactions , detailed above in the Governmen t Affairs
update, remain at the forefront . While the FAA authorization extension runs through
March 2016, the CR funding the government will expire in early December. A shutdown
threat could return.
The Communications Department is continuing to engage in media activity where
appropriate on these topics and inform our members of important news and up dates
through a variety of ways .
