We continue d work last week to prepare for our selection panel meeting, which
was held Jan. 20 to determine the winners of the 12
th
annual Archie League Medal of
Safety Awards .
It is wonderful for us to report that we received more than 60 nominations! Thank
you to all of you who either nominated a fellow member or participated in a team effort of
getting the materials in order to send on to us in the National Office. It's a lot of work and
we appreciate all of your efforts!
We will announce the winners to the membership in the Jan. 22 issue of the
NATCA Insider after they have been notified.
NATCA WINS AFN REPRESENTATION ELECTION RUNOFF!
We were thrilled to help the National Organizing Committee share the gr eat news
last Friday that NATCA had won the runoff election to represent the new combined AFN
bargaining unit. Here's our story from last week's NATCA Insider:
A single, but long anticipated announcement from the Federal Labor Relations
Authority (FLRA) Th ursday afternoon, Jan. 14, set off a euphoric celebration for NATCA
and expanded the Union's total bargaining unit representation by 6.9 percent.
