the FAA. Emphasize our mission to ensure the safest, most efficient airspace system in the world. Our mission, our purpose, our cause, is what can inspire people to join us. I invite you to watch a Ted Talk by Simon Sinek called "How great leaders inspire action," and you'll see what I mean. He says people don't buy into what you do. They buy into why you do it. In fact, he talks about the Wright Brothers and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as examples of p eople who inspired others, not because of what they were doing, but because of why they were doing it. On that note, as we acknowledge and honor the leadership and contributions of Dr. King, let's reflect on how we can continue to promote the values of equ al opportunity and diversity here at the FAA.
