SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY Week of March 11, 2016 Enroute Automation Modernization (ERAM) Human Performance NAS Voice System NextGen VOR Minimum Operating Network (MON) Week of March 4, 2016 DataComm Integrated Display System Replacement (IDS - R) Representative News Surveillance Broadcast Services (SBS) LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT Week ending March 11, 2016 NATCA RECEIVES A BRIEFING ON AIR ' S IMPLEMENTATION OF TIA, STIR, & TIR F ORMS On Feb. 11, 2016, the Agency notified NATCA of changes to Type Inspection Authorization (TIA), Supplemental Type Inspection Report (STIR), and Type Inspection Report (TIR) forms. The Agency briefed NATCA on the implementation of these n ew forms on Feb ruary 29, 2016. At the briefing, the Agency informed NATCA that the changes were necessary in order to make the forms compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and to ensur e that they were PDF - fillab le. NATCA had several concerns about the new f orms, including whether electronic signatures would be permitted and whether they would be compatible with the Engineering Design and Production A pproval (EDPA) computer system. The Agency responded that e - signatures would not be permitted and, that while the new forms are not presently compatible with EDPA, they are working to create new forms that will be. BRIEFING REQUESTS On March 10, 2016, NATCA reque sted a briefing on the implementat ion of the FAA Project Toolset. We are currently waiting for a response from th e Agency regarding our request. On March 8, 2016 , NATCA requested a briefing on the Tactical Action Notification and Request (TANR) for NORAD Interceptor Operations.
