PUBLIC SERVICE RECOGNITION WEEK : President Obama has issued a presidential
proclamation designating this week, May 1 - 7 , as Public Service Recognition Week. In
addition to thanking federal employees for the work they do for the country, the
President is also directing the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to "ban the box"
on federal employment applications, meaning that people could still apply for most
federal jobs even if they have a criminal record. OPM recently issued a proposed rule on
this effort in the Federal Register. To view the proclamation, click here .

ATTENTION FACREPS, AND ALL NATCA LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES:
We've created a section on the members side of the natca.org website designed
to be one - stop s hopping for your needs in representing your l oc al. It's called "Member
Center " and can be found on the main home page after you've signed in to the member
side. There's also a menu item for it no matter where you're at on the site after signing in.
We originally called this section "FacRep Corner" but changed it to "Member
Center" to more accurately reflect its purpose: To house all relevant forms, labor
relations resources, and other information for all reps to assist them. This is where you
will also find our FacReps can bookmark this page , or simply find it easily on the home
