The NLC and NATCA thank them for their hard work and dedication! Jason Arnold (Memphis Center) has served as the Southern Region representative on the committee since December 2010. He currently serves as the NSO Alternate Regional Vice President. Under his legislative leadership, the Southern region rose to new heights of legislative activity. He was twice named the NSO's legislative activist of the year (2010 and 2015), and last year was named the winner of the Trish Gilbert Legislative Activism Award. "Jason is one of those rare activists and leaders who senses what needs to be done and takes care of it before he is asked," NLC Chairman Steve Weidner said. "Being able to rely on Jason for whatever is needed has been invaluable to the NLC. His activism has made the committee better and NATCA stronger." Steve Rosenfeld has served on the NLC since May 2011, representing Region X. He works as an Aircraft Certification bargaining unit engineer, based out of the Great Lakes regional office. He is passionate about aviation and aviation safety, particularly small aircraft. "As the Region X NLC member, Steve represented multiple bargaining units across the whole country," Weidner said. "Keeping up with the multitude of issues that affect our Region X members, while effectively advocating legislatively for those issues, is a huge challenge. We are going to miss Steve's passion for aviation safety and for the NLC." Rosenfeld was also the 2015 Region X legislative activist award winner. 13
