It will be held in Phoenix. About the course: Beginning at 8:30 a.m. local time on Monday and ending at 5 p.m. on Thursda y, the AAT - II class will be four days and will be related to a rbitration h earings regarding contrac t interpretation cases and post - hearing brief writing. Students are expected to complete a pre - class reading assignment and at tendee participation is a must. Attendees must also bring a l aptop to the class. There are approximately 14 m odules presented in this class. Please come prepared to learn and expand on what you learned in A AT - I. The modules presented in this class consist of: burden of proof in contrac t cases; identifying possible violations; past practice; fair and equitable application of Agency regulations; theory of the case; bargaining history; covered - by doctrine; settlement discussions; proving your case; information requests; contractual languag e and its intentional vagueness; examination skills; objections; framing the issue; awards and exceptions; post hearing brief writing; and post hearing brief review. This class also requires the participants to research, prepare and conduct a mock Arbitra tion heari ng in front of an Arbitrator. Prerequisites to take t his class: BRT, ART, and AAT - I. Note: Please do not book air travel or make plans to attend any NATCA Academy training without prior approval from your Facility Representative, RVP , or the Ad ministrat ive Assistant in your region.
