WEEKLY MESSAGE FROM ATO COO TERI L. BRISTOL Innovation in Aviation Hi everyone. Innovation is the lifeblood of any great organization and ATO employees are continually showing us how innovative they can be. In fact, w ithin IdeaHub nearly 40% of all ideas that have been, or are in the process of being implemented, have come from ATO employees. Additionally, we have had several ATO employees share their stories through the True Stories of Innovation Series, which are cur rently being featured in Focus FAA and on the FAA Innovates web page. Here are some examples. Jim Sims, Technical Operations Instructor at the Academy, came up with a way to use Microsoft's Xbox Kinect so that technicians could reduce their risk of electronic shock while training on critical - power distribution systems.
