37 is on covered active duty (or has been notified of an impending call or order to covered active duty) in the Armed Forces. Section 12. Military Funeral Leave A. This section applies to the granting of funeral leave to an employee in connection with the funeral of, or memorial service for, his immediate relative who died as a result of wounds, disease, or injury incurred while serving as a member of the armed forces in a combat zone. B. Employees shall be granted three (3) workdays of funeral leave days to make arrangements necess itated by the death of a family member or attends the funeral of a family member. The workdays do not need to be consecutive. C. Funeral leave is without loss of or reduction in pay or leave to which the employee is otherwise entitled. D. Employees may reques t leave for any additional time needed. ARTICLE 21 VOLUNTARY LEAVE TRANSFER PROGRAM Section 1. The purpose of this Article is to set forth the procedures and requirements in accordance with 5 CFR 630, Voluntary Leave Transfer Program. Section 2. Employ ees applying to become a leave recipient due to a medical emergency should complete the OPM Form 630 and submit the form to their supervisor with certifying medical documentation. If the employee is not capable of making written application, a personal rep resentative may make the application on behalf of the employee. Supervisors must approve or disapprove the employee's application to become a leave recipient. The servicing Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) will provide any additional procedures/gu idelines for the VLTP process. Section 3. When requested by the Union and/or a BUE, the Employer will provide the name, phone number, and address of the servicing CPAC who oversees this program for the Employer. Section 4. Any meetings concerning this Article shall be done on duty time, staffing and workload permitting.
