COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT THE SLATE BOOK – UPDATED ONLINE RESOURCES : We have worked with the Slate Book Contract Team to update the 2016cba.natca.net page on the members side of the natca.org website and we invite you to use it as a resource. Here, you will find many important resources, including the training presentation, joint guidance on Articles 18, 24, and 34, joint templates and associated instructions for Articles 24, 32, and 34, and a list of MOUs and their related appendices. We are currently working with the Contract Team to update the electronic version of the Slate Book itself and we expect to b e completed and have it added to the 2016cba.natca.net page no later than Monday, Oct. 3. NEW MEMBERS SIDE VIDEO CHANNEL ON THE WEBSITE: We have completed work on a framework for a new video channel for members only. We have used that framework to present all videos from the recent 16 th Biennial Convention in San Diego and invite you to check it out. Please click he re . This new format allows you to view these videos on any device. We also have several videos from the Foundations of Professionalism program ( please click here ) and will be addi ng to this collection in the coming weeks with a full library of Fully Charged and Turn Off Tune In videos. NCEPT – ONLINE RESOURCE PAGE: We have set up, and continually update, our NCEPT page on the members side of natca.org so that you have everything y ou need by way of updates, requests, selections, and other resources like the current Priority Placement Tool. THE NEED FOR STABLE, PREDICTABLE FUNDING Press Release, Sept. 22 : " For the l ast three years, " stated President Paul Rinaldi and Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert, " we've been asking Congress to establish a stable, predictable funding mechanism to fund the NAS. Yet once again, we are waiting to see if Congress can approve shor t term funding for the federal government before the end of the fiscal year. " Read the full release. San Francisco : The FAA i s planning a press event on Oct. 11 to mark the opening of the new SFO tower. NATCA will be represented. Las Vegas : FAA plans to do a press event on Oct. 18 to mark the new LAS and L30 facilities' opening.
