NATCA 30: A YEAR - LONG CELEBRATION AND HISTORY LESSON IN 2017
Next year, NATCA will celebrate 30 years of incredible accomplishments – meeting
challenges with a collective spirit, energy, and passion, and bui lding the unity, strength,
and solidarity of our great Union to best represent the greatest workforce of aviation
safety professionals in the history of aviation.
June 19, 2017, marks the 30th anniversary of the Federal Labor Relations Authority's
certifi cation of NATCA as the exclusive bargaining representative of Federal Aviation
Administration air traffic controllers. Throughout 2017, NATCA will take members on a
trip through our history and archives, reliving the most notable moments, including
issues, events, leaders, personalities, and bargaining units of dedicated aviation safety
professionals that have shaped NATCA into the proud Union it is today. Read more here.
THIRD ANNUAL CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP RECEPTION
On Monday, Dec. 5, NATCA held its third annual Corporate Partnership Reception at the
National Press Club in Washington, D.C. President Paul Rinaldi, Executive Vice
President Trish Gilbert, Na tional Organizing Committee Chairman John Bratcher, and
corporate member Lillian Ryals, of MITRE Corporation, spoke at the reception
celebrating NATCA's strong collaborative relationships with aviation industry partners
and leaders. Attendees included repr esentatives from many of NATCA's 35 corporate
partners as well as NATCA members and National Office staff. "Your partnership with
NATCA is a symbol of how together, we can make the system great," Bratcher said. To

JOINT PRESS EVENT WITH FAA
The FAA is now helping to reduce or eliminate one source of delay at Chicago O'Hare
and Midway through the use of Data Communications (Data Comm), part of NextGen .
On Friday, Dec. 9, members of the media toured O'Hare Tower and a United Airlines jet
to see Data Comm in action. Representatives from the FAA, United Airlines, NATCA,
and the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists were on hand. Links below.

ATTENTION FACREPS – UPDATED AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT/INCIDENT CHECKLIST
We updated our " E mergency" section of the Members Center to include the new aircraft
accident/incident checklist from the ASI Committee.
