NATCA President Paul Rinaldi and Executive Vice President Trish Gilbert taped new
radio ads earlier this month, for airing on Washington, D.C. area sports radio station
ESPN 980, in addition to game broadcasts for the defending National League East
Division - champion Washington Nationals and the first - place Washington Capitals and
Wizards through Monumental Sports & Entertainment. The ads in this market continue to
reach our most important audiences and have consistently received significant pos itive
attention. These new ads are a mixt ure of both 15 - second and 30 - second spots and
focus on several topics including our members' commitment to safety, the need to grow
and modernize the National Airspace System (NAS), and working toward solutions that
will continue to ensure progress for the NAS.

Our Union is continually faced with new legislative challenges and this year is no
exception. NATCA in Washington provides us with a tremendous opportunity to spend
time on the Hill, educating our elected officials on the vital work that we do.
NATCA in Washington 2017 promises to be our best ever! We are continuing to improve
this event each year. Regardless if you are a veteran attendee or a first - timer, we are
confident that you will come away impressed. We hope you are able to attend and make
our collectiv e voi ce heard on Capitol Hill.
We know that getting leave is always a challenge. W e understand these challenges.
However, if you are planning to attend but are still trying to work out leave, we
encourage you to register. It is much easier to drop a room from our room block than it is
to try and pick one up at the last minute.
