You are a constituent, the most important person in our legislative team. You are the message carrier, the subject matter expert. All of us meet this description. All of us can be member activists. NATCA member in good standing. As the facility legislative representative, you work for your FacRep and E-Board. Shows leadership capabilities; NATCA member in good standing; organized, enthusiastic about the legislative process. The backbone of our legislative strength. These members take time to become involved, develop relationships with members of Congress and their staffs, and participate in grassroots efforts. Point person for local NATCA mem- bers with facility issues and impor- tant contact for NATCA-wide issues; ensures grassroots initiatives are acted upon; and maintains a high level of knowledge pertaining to NATCA's legislative agenda, current political candidates, and pertinent Congressional legislation. Point of contact for all political and legislative activity within their state; ensures a NATCA relationship with every mem- ber of Congress in their state; serves as conduit through which the local political and legislative activity flows back up to the NLC. Self-appointed for anyone who wants to get involved! Regional Vice President FacRep, or it is an elected position if their local constitution calls for it. If the position does not exist, the FacRep appoints. 24
