Attended Caribbean study meetings at ZMA Participated in Caribbean Study Teleconference with ESC Participated in Caribbean Study Teleconference with ZSU Submitted by Greg Harris, Florida Metroplex NATCA Art 48 R ep and Caribbean Lead ATLANTA METROPLEX MAY/2017 Finalized Design Packages , posted them on KSN , and provided to QCG group to prepare for the SMS panel on May 10, 2017. All p rocedures have been turned in to Flight Procedures Team. Had SMS panel on May 10th, 2017. No new risk issues were noted. Met with ESC Environmental specialist and Airspace Redesign Manager and they are recommendin g Community Involvement with McDonough and Newnan m ayors and/or City Council. Received good news on the environmental review. We had two procedures that required additional noise modeling completed with no impact . Received guidance on combining waivers and are working to combine, sign , and send back. Briefed Angela McCullough ( ESC Director) on May 24, 2017. Received positive feedback on the briefing. Held adjacent facility telcon and still working through the process. Working on LOAs SOP s, training, et c. Everything is on track. Submitted by Christian Karns Eastern Service Area (ESA) PBN May 2017 PBN projects in eastern continue to be impacted by funding for backfill overtime (BFOT), prioritization, community involvement , and criteria issues. ACR (ACR P) impacted many projects in the ESA including CHS AMYLU STAR, JFK PARCH STAR, and the PXT decommissioning and other MON projects. We are hoping ACR finds a funding stream and resumes work in the near term. PXT decommissioning project has run into BFOT is sues and has been put on hold. The project design was 90% complete when the change comes from TARGETS 5.1 to 5.2. Meetings had been scheduled to address the changes and to begin working on waivers but, the BFOT was not approved and the meetings have not be en rescheduled. The project effects traffic flows along the east coast for major markets in LGA, PHL, EWR , and TEB. It is of critical importance for ZDC to publish the nine STARs prior to or in conjunction with ACR (ACRP). This will provide new high altitu de transitions from old legacy routes to new PBN ACR routes. PCT needs the low altitude structure (T - routes) for aircraft navigating in and around the DCA TFR and other restrictive military airspace south and east of the DC area. We hope to push the T - rout es forward while waiting on funding for the redesign meetings. There were no criteria changes for ATS routes but
