there are several shared waypoints that will be problematic to publish the T - routes without the STARs. ZNY Sector 85/86 project was a multipha se project to help alleviate congestion from N90 through the warning areas into the ZNY oceanic airspace, primarily for JFK and EWR. The final phase is a request for RNAV SIDs and STARs for EWR and JFK. We have had preliminary meetings with both ZNY and N9 0 but again have run into funding issues and the prioritization/scoping of the Northeast Corridor (NEC) project. DCA/BWI/IAD are three separate high profile projects that will be work together. DCA and BWI are being driven by community noise groups (roun dtables) to change the noise footprint around the respective airports. Bennie Hutto, as the former DC Metroplex lead, has been attending the DCA and BWI roundtables but as we move toward design the ESA Co - Leads will be assuming his duties for the project. Lynn Ray is very "hands on" with this project because of the high visibility community involvement and outreach aspect. CVG is another project that had been delayed because of TARGETS/criteria and other higher priority work. Atlas Air originally request O PDs and the project has expanded to update all the SIDs and RNPs. Amazon has since committed 1.6 billion dollars to build their air cargo hub and SWA airlines has initiated service at CVG. We have a work group scheduled for the week of June 12th to resume this project. The America Cup Yacht race is being hosted by Bermuda this June and there were concerns over the reliability of the radar at BDA. The Bermuda (BDA/TXKF) government worked with the FAA's international office to jointly develop SIDs and STARs for BDA. ZNY oceanic sectors control the airspace around BDA and will utilize the new procedures. The Co - Leads were tasked with developing climb via (CV) SIDs and descend via (DV) STARs that could be used to help maintain throughput, even during radar outa ges. The joint effort between the Bermuda airport authority under IACO rules, ZNY, AJV - 14, AJV - 8, AJV - 5, the Eastern Service Center, AFS , and industry were successful. The procedures published on April 27, 2017 and were tested with the help of American Air lines and JetBlue. They have since been used, as designed, for non - radar during scheduled radar outages. PBI requested an RNP to avoid M ar - A - L ago when POTUS was in residence. The new RNP and amended RNAV GPS procedures were published on 5/25/17.
