Performance Energy : I have been working with the team on seeing if the science surrounding personal energy management is worth pursuing. Initial discussions and investigation has revealed that many high performing organization s do various levels of energy management training. Eurocontrol has a sc ientist dedicated to disseminating performance energy materials. The substance focuses on physical, mental , and behavioral markers and identifiers that humans need to be aware of that could be placing them in a negative energy posture and ultimately resulti ng in reduced human performance. Fatigue 7210.3 2 - 6 - 7 : I have commented on a change to the language that spells out who the fatigue and other work rules applies to. Essentially the change would refer to all operational personnel who could make a decision that could affect the NAS. The discussion revolves around explicitly listing every job i.e. TMC, STMC, OM, etc. or using a general description. ZOA: We finally have purchased the actigraphs. We plan to deliver them in late July or August and begin the 3 0 - study period. Our requirement is to gather data from the Oceanic sectors and see if the schedule they are working is adding additional risk to the NAS due to the 4:00 start times. FSSC: The recommendation to have a 30 - hour time - off period for an RDO has been signed off by AJI - 0 and has is now with AJT - 0. ATSAP : Mike Blake and I are working on a way to analyze and search ATSAP reports from a fatigue and HF perspective. Currently the ERCs are not trained in HF or Fatigue analysis. Our office would ideal ly be able to mine the ATSAP data to look for undiscovered trends or issues that could lower the risk profile. VOR MI NIMUM OPERATING NETWORK (MON) John Vogelsang (P31) is the Article 114 Represe ntative on the VOR MON project. His update is below. On 5/3 0 I sat in on a telcon with WSA OSG and NavCanada. The meeting was a scoping meeting regarding the decommissioning of the HUH VOR. NavCanada expressed c oncerns that several Canadian approaches used HUH as part of the missed approach procedure. After discussion it was agreed that the VOR MON program would look into postponing the decommissioning of HUH for at least three - four years. I will be attending an initi al educational briefing on the program in Orlando on June 21st. If anyone is interested in attending that meeting , please get in touch with me and I will get you the details. The program will be having a meeting in D . C . in July for all of the participants. A djustments to the MON waterfall will occur during this meeting. The following VORs have entered the NR study part of the decommissioning process: VWV - Waterville, OH ; MTO - Mattoon, IL ; FRM - Fairmont, MN ; CTW - Newcomerstown, OH ; BXZ - West Branch, MI ; HLL - H andle, FL
