Office suite so all workstations will run Office Professional Plus 2016, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, Publisher , Outlook, and Skype for Business (which replaces Lync). The Agency will deploy the Office 2016 upgrade on a rolling basis. Employees will receive an email regarding the upgrade at least one week before it is depl oyed to their geographic area. Employees will receive an FAA AIT Deployment Notification when the software package is pushed to their computers and they can choose to install immediately or postpone installation for up to 60 minutes. POCs: Director of Labor Relations Ryan Smith, Labor Relations Attorney Grant Mulkey, and Phil Barbarello . EASTERN REGIONAL OFFICE SECURITY UPGRADE On June 22, 2017, the Agency briefed NATCA on a planned security upgrade at the Eastern Regional Office located at 1 Aviation Plaza, Jamaica, NY. The construction is expe cted to take place in October 2017, and will last four to five months. The Security and Hazardous Materials Safety Office (ASH) has not been given construction start dates. The Agency intends to brief employees about construction via AEA Broadcast messages as the date approaches. The messages will list the dates, times, and areas of the building that will b e impacted during construction. The Agency will attempt to limit the impact to operations during business hours. NATCA is concerned about employees who do not have access cards gaining access for one or two week assignments at the Regional Office. The FAA took an IOU to look into adding field employees' access so they won't have to apply for temporary access through the Buildings Security office. NATCA is also concerned about the PIV data being used for time and attendance purposes. The FAA assured us that they have no intention of using that data for time and attendance. The data will remain with Building Services, who will only give it out if there is an investigation. At this time, NATCA does not have any proposals. POCs: Dan Stefko and Labor Relations Attorney Suzanne DeFelice . BRIEFING ON ORDER 8040.4 On June 21, 2017, the FAA briefed NATCA on the Agency's revisions to Order 8040.4, the Agency's Saf ety Risk Management (SRM) Policy. The Agency made a number of changes to Order 8040.4, including revising the safety risk levels and safety risk assessment criteria; updating the risk matrix and likelihood definitions for Commercial Operations/Large Trans port and General Aviation Operations/Small Aircraft and Rotocraft; and including information on conducting SRM with entities outside of the FAA. Under the new Safety Risk Acceptance Criteria, the Agency has assigned new responsibility for signing off on initiatives d epending on the level of risk. For example, the Associate Administrator of a Line of Business, Assistant Administrator of a Staff Office, or the ATO Chief Operations Office must sign off for the Agency to accept a high risk level. The Order was signed on May 2, 2017. The Agency's next steps are to update supporting guidance material on the FAA Intranet and update the SRM Overview briefing in eLMS.
