transferred to designated tower/TRACON and en route key site test facilities in Jacksonville, FL. At that point, the radios are used by the controllers and maintenance technicians until they are proven reliable for operational use. I want to thank everyone who has worked on this program and many others like it in the ATO that improve communications throughout the NAS — we wouldn't be able to meet our mission without you. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge that many of our coworkers are deal ing with substantial loss of property and devas tation due to Hurricane Harvey. Since making landfall in Texas last week, Hurricane Harvey quickly became one of the most destructive natu ral disasters in recent memory. The event required controllers and tech nicians to spend upwards of five days in our facilities. When the airports opened on Wednesday afternoon we were ready and resumed full operational capability at ZHU, I - 90, IAH , and HOU. The dedication displayed by our ATO workforce is second to none in th e world. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affect ed by this terrible experience. Your donations to all the wonderful charities to help with the recovery and cleanup effort would provide much needed aid in this time of despair. Thanks everyone! Teri L. Bristol ATO Chief Operating Officer
