Southern California TRACON member and legislative activist Ian Lewis recently talked
with Flying Magazine reporter James Wynbrandt about the career o f an ATC specialist.
Wynbrandt was writing a piece for the magazine's careers section and had visited the
topic of ATC a couple of years ago. The story is now out and we invite you to re ad it

Says Lewis in the article, about controllers' passion for aviation: "This is a career, not a
job. When we walk through an airport and see moms, fathers, sons, all those people
getting on planes, we feel proud to be responsible for their safe ty."

sisters, and your family.

with the public through educational and outreach events, and with your legislative
