LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT FAA BRIEFING ON ORDER 6000.15H, GENERAL MAINTENANCE HANDBOOK FOR NAS FACILITIES The Agency intends to make changes to FAA Order 6000.15H, to provide updated policy and procedures for management of electronic Technical Performance Records (eTPR), updated logging guidance, and updated procedures in online Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This was a substantial briefing. NATCA had previously been briefed about standalone Operational Risk Management (ORM) changes, but the Agency has decided not to move forward with that independent component and has instead wrapped it into this Order change. NATCA is concerned about ensuring that NATCA Technical Operations engineers receive the training required under this Order. They have been excluded from training in the past. Since there is already an ORM workgroup, NATCA wants to ensure that the Agency collaborates on the future update, which will have more specifics about ORM checklists and other details. NATCA submitted questions and comments regarding the Agency's briefing and is assessing the Agency's response. A follow-up discussion may be necessary, and we may ultimately propose a separate MOU for engineer training. POCs: Don Smith, Denise Nappi, Russell Davis, Troy Swanberg, Larry Anderson, and Labor Relations Attorney Suzanne DeFelice. BRIEFING REQUESTS On Feb. 22, 2018, NATCA requested a briefing on the relocation of FAA servers and equipment from Terremark to the Colocation Data Center. We are currently waiting for a response from the Agency regarding our request. POCs: Labor Relations Attorney Suzanne DeFelice and Labor Relations Coordinator Kendal Manson. 2018 NATCA ACADEMY SCHEDULE NATCA Academy Courses will be held on the following dates in 2018: Class Dates Location Representative Training 1 (RT1) 9-13 April Las Vegas Representative Training 1 (RT1) 24-28 Sept.
