AVIATION SUBCOMMITTEE
T&I has jurisdiction over aviation and is responsible for drafting the legislation that reauthorizes FAA programs. The
FAA is operating under its fifth extension to its current authorization, which runs through September 30, 2018. The
subcommittee lays the groundwork for FAA reauthorization by working with the aviation industry and stakeholders to
analyze the best ways to modernize the NAS.
