EAE110 TTL and Ops Key Site testing activities were conducted at ZLC, ZID, ZTL, and ZME. There were several issues identified and planned fixes have been coordinated and a rebuild has been deployed. A sub group of the ERAM National User and DataComm Teams completed CPDLC Failure Mode Testing at the WJHTC and discovered three major issues. The subgroup is working on potential mitigations until the fixes can be delivered in future software releases in support of the three key sites. MITRE provided an R-side Conflict Probe demo to the task team to assist in the writing of use cases to ensure the product would be a viable tool if fully developed and deployed. Work is ongoing and the task team will brief requested functionality changes to the National User Team in the future. Eight FTRs that comprise the GIMM-S task team received a demo of different adaptations along with the basic functionality of the GIMM-S program. The team continues to work on use cases to improve the system capabilities as the program is deployed. The remaining FTRs will receive the same demo summer of 2018. The PDRR issue has been fixed with the delivery of EAD705 and EAE110. Sites have been re-enabling the program as they step up to the new software and no new issues have been reported. The En Route Automation Workgroup (ERAW) received a briefing from FAA Human Factors on the complexity of the En Route data tags and the ability for the "controller" to comprehend and interact with all of the additional CHI. The Human Factors Group is planning a study of the impacts later this year. The Stars Enhancement 2 Task Team continued working on the differences between Stars and ERAM automation platforms. The team is focusing on Point Outs between the two systems. The Stars and ERAM teams will begin to work in person to work through the different functionality. The following is a sample of the issues the National User Team worked in May 2018: SE2 Airspace Transfer The team discussed and reached consensus on the use case. The intent of the use case is to automate the function of designating airspace to another sector or facility for things like missed approach airspace. Once all team members concur the use case will be sent to SLE. ER 184496 ABRR/PDRR Restricted Airspace The task team is working on an updated problem statement and also discussing procedural changes with the Command Center regarding how and where protection is placed in PDRR/ABRR routes. ER 185538 FDB Leader Line Disappears With /3 Distance The ER describes an issue where data blocks near the edge of the display can have no leader line and end up displaying only the target. The problem statements desired behavior is to allow display of the leader line regardless of FDB position, leader line end position, or leader line length.
