Las Vegas Secretary/Treasurer (STT) 4 - 5 Dec. Las Vegas These courses are now available for sign up on the NATCA Membership Portal (except for LEAP, which is by invitation only). Once you have logged in, select "NATCA Academy" from the quick links. Then, select "2018 courses." If you need any help with registration, contact the Coordinator for your region. Registr ants will be notified within 35 days from the course start date of their status for the course. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT CONGRES SIONAL SCHEDULE The House and Senate are in session for the week of July 16. The House will recess for the month of August, while the Senate will stay in session most of the month to consider judicial nominations. FA A REAUTHORIZATION MAY MOVE IN SENATE ACTION The Senate FAA bill has been on hold since the Senate Commerce, Scienc e, and Transportation Committee approved it last year. However, potential movement on the bill was indicated last week when the Commerce Commi ttee issued a deadline for Senators to offer amendment text and priorities for the bill. It is possible that the Senate could consider the bill in the next week or so. As a reminder, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell "started the clock" on an FAA bill , but floor time has been a challenge. Likewise, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D - NY), as well as other Senators
