LOCALITY PAY AREA EVALUATION On June 29, 2018, the Agency briefed NATCA reg arding a comprehensive locality pay area evaluation it has begun. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine whether the Agency is paying employees using the correct locality pay rate. The Agency will review 100 percent of employees whose residences are outside of their Official Duty Station acc ording to data in their SF - 50s. That is, an employee's locality pay rate will be reviewed if the employee's residence is in one locality pay area and his/her Official Duty Station is in another locality pay area. The Agency's evaluation consists of three (3) phases. First, the Agency is reviewing data from various sources to identify all empl oyees who need further review. Second, the Agency will analyze each record and determine whether the information is accurate (i.e., whether the employee is being paid using t he correct locality pay rate). Third, the Agency will complete co rrective actions as necessary. These corrective actions could include adju sting employees' locality pay. The Agency intends to complete this review by the end of Fiscal Year 2018. The Agency has committed to keeping NATCA informed of its progress and providing NATCA an opportunity to review the Agency's findings and determinations.
