Their report is below: NATCA's Professional Standards (PS) program has accepted and resolved more than 3,000 cases since the program began in 2010. The program helps to maintain, promote, and inspire professionalism throughout the NAS. The purpose of the PS program is to provide an opportunity for bargaining unit employees to address performance and/or the conduct of their peers before such issues rise to a level requiring corrective action(s) by the Agency. The program uses peer-to-peer mediation, conflict resolution, and mentoring to achieve these goals. The program also recognizes exceptional performance. Nominations are being accepted for the National Professionalism Award presented at CFS each year. The deadline for nominations is June 17. We encourage you to nominate a peer that consistently demonstrates professionalism in their daily work. Forty-two new members were trained in May at classes held at ZHU and ZAB. We have approximately 550 committee members nationally serving each local facility across the country and 26 Professional Standards District Chairs that serve as a resource for FacReps and committee members. If your facility is without a local PS committee member, or you do not feel comfortable bringing your issue to the local PS committee member, please contact your District Chair or the National team. The PS Program is here for YOU! Please reach out to us at PS@natca.net with any questions about the program.
